Speedlite
580EX II Further
development of Canon's flagship Speedlite has led to the production of
the 580 EX II. This is the premier Speedlite for all photographers, including
professionals. Newly designed to match with the EOS-1D Mark III in terms
of improved dust- and water-resistance, body strength, and the ability
to control flash functions and settings from the camera menu (EOS-1D Mark
III only). Other features include improved communication reliability through
its direct contacts, and recycling time is both 20% shorter than
the 580EX and is completely inaudible.
This
exciting new addition to the EOS System combines compact size and affordability
with an added dose of features and sophistication. Improving on the
previous model, Speedlite 420EX, the new 430EX can now be set into manual
flash mode (full power~1/64). Flash compensation can be set on the flash
unit, and manual control of the flash zoom head is now possible. Improvements
in its circuitry make recycle time 40% faster, and since it is compatible
with Canon's wireless E-TTL, it can be used as an affordable "slave
unit."
Designed
for automatic operation only, the 220EX Flash Unit excels at providing
natural-looking balanced flash exposures. When attached to the EOS
IX, EOS Elan II/Elan IIe/IIe, or EOS Rebel G, the 220EX incorporates
the superior technology of Canon's unique E-TTL evaluative pre-stored
flash exposure control system, FE Lock for a new dimension of creative
control and FP Flash(High Speed Sync) for flash photography up to maximum
shutter speed. When used with other EOS cameras, or the T90, it operates
as a TTL autoflash (off-the-film flash metering).
Macro Twin Lite MT-24EX The
new Macro Twin Lite gives serious close-up, nature, and macro enthusiasts
a different option in macro lighting - a directional quality of light,
as opposed to the rather "Flat" character of the traditional
ring lite. Two separate flash heads can be swiveled around the lens,
can be aimed separately, and even removed from their holder and mounted
off-camera. Like the MR-14EX, the new Macro Twin Lite MT-24EX is
fully E-TTL compatible with all EOS bodies, including digital SLRs,
and even allows Wireless E-TTL flash control with one or more 550EX
and/or 420EX "slave units". It also provides easy ratio
control of each flash head’s output, over a six-stop range.

Macro Ring Lite MR-14EX

This new Ring Lite for close-up and macro shooting is loaded with features
and capabilities. Now with Canon's E-TTL, it takes full advantage
of the flash performance of the EOS-1v, EOS-3, and other E-TTL cameras.
Circular twin flash tubes can fire at even power, or varied between
them over a six-stop range, and one or more 550EX Speedlites can
be used as wireless slaves along with the MR-14EX. The controller
unit now has an illuminated full-info LCD panel and its accepts optional
hi-capacity battery packs.
Speedlite Transmitter ST-E2 Dedicated
clip-on transmitter for E-TTL/E-TTL II wireless flash system.Developed
in conjunction with the Speedlite 550EX and the EOS-3 camera, this master
control device for a wireless Speedlite flash system meets and exceeds
professional and advanced amateur standards. Its dedicated transmitter
controls an unlimited number of 420EX or 550EX Speedlites as slave units
up to 33 feet away outdoors and 49.5 feet away indoors. It is mounted
as a clip-on with shoe lock lever and locking pin. Compatible Cameras
- Type A EOS cameras (E- TTL, autoflash); Type B EOS cameras (Manual
flash) Type - 550EX-dedicated, clip-on Speedlite transmitter with direct
contacts.
